Lifestyle | Wintry Lazy Day

I don't know about you, but when it gets chilly and I start feeling festive, I tend to want to stay inside and hibernate! This is just a little insight into the kind of thing I like to do on one of those days! I also did a bit of gift wrapping and quite a lot of procrastinating...

The very first thing I did...

Then I took a minute to...

Necessity for any chilly day...

Then I lit my favourite candle! Just now its the Yankee Black Coconut candle.

Finally, I gathered together some magazines, and my kindle watch some Netflix!

Gingerbread man onesie - Yours Clothing
Darjeeling tea - Harvey Nichols
Black Coconut Candle - Yankee Candle

So, that was my day! I usually do my nails and pop on a face-mask too if I'm feeling like I need a bit of pampering (all the time).

What do you like to do on lazy days? Do you have a favourite candle of type of tea? I'd love to know, so as always feel free to pop your comments below! xx

Skincare | Product Review | Safa Skincare

As a self confessed beauty and skincare addict, I'm always excited to try out new brands and products. The lovely ladies at Safa sent me over the Cleansing Milk and Daily Moisturiser to try out*. I was really looking forward to giving these products a test run as my skin has been freaking out a little lately (due to the change in weather), and also because of the natural organic ingredients included in the Safa skincare range.

The packaging itself is fresh, clean and entirely brand appropriate. It proudly displays the Halaal approved and  The Organic Soil Association emblems, reminding the buyer of just a couple of perks of buying into Safa skincare. You can tell in everything that this brand does that their focus lies within their pure, organic ingredients. Inside the box, is a super useful (and easy to follow) leaflet on how to use the product properly to get the best results possible. I also spotted in said leaflet that this range is recommended for Acne prone skin due to its lightweight and PH balancing formula.

I used the Safa products for two weeks- morning and night - to get a proper feel for them and how they impacted my skin. The Cleansing Milk formula is light, non sticky and feels refreshing and cooling. With ingredients such as rosehip oil and sweet almond it smells amazing whilst cleansing your skin preparing for exfoliation. The Daily Moisturiser smells quite similar, but not as strong - which I actually prefer as I don't want my face to smell of skincare products for too long. Anything that contains Organic Shea butter and Argan oil is most definitely my kinda skincare product! Not only are these ingredients great for dry skin, but for dehydrated skin too which is desperate for a surge of hydration. This moisturiser certainly gives that! My skin practically drank it up in seconds, leaving it feeling soft, regenerated and the perfect base for my make-up.

Over the two weeks I definitely began to notice a difference in my skin in terms of the patches of dryness i tend to get in winter time, which have now thankfully departed! My skin itself feels softer and brighter, and my make-up now stays on for longer - bonus! All in all Safa skincare was enjoyable to use and has certainly improved the balance of my skin in just a couple of weeks.

You can find Safa Skincare in Holland & Barratt at the end of December or alternatively on Facebook and Twitter where they hold monthly competitions to give you the chance to win some goodies!

Is organic skincare important to you? Do you regularly mix up your skincare routine like I do to try to find the perfect combination? As always feel free to pop your thoughts below :) xx

Fashion & Beauty | Christmas Holiday Essentials

So, since I'm now officially allowed to be in full festive mode (woohoooo!), I felt the need to share my Christmas Holiday Essentials - The little things that I cannot live without for the month of December! I haven't added any fashion in this one as I'm going to do a separate Christmas day outfit post.

  1. Chocolate - Specifically Ferrero Rocher. For me, Christmas cannot happen without these!
  2. Hot Chocolate - even better in a pretty festive mug! Love this one from Paperchase.
  3. A Good Moisturiser - my skin freaks out in winter, so I always invest in a high quality moisturiser. My favourite being the Origins, Make a difference + moisturiser.
  4. A Hydrating lip balm- On days when I'm just relaxing, I always pop something on my lips to keep them hydrated and soft. My lipbalm of choice is the Origins, drink up hydrating lipbalm which is so moisturising and also comes in a range of different colours!
  5. A Cosy Hot water Bottle - for me, snuggling on the sofa watching Christmas movies wouldn't be the same without one! This Grey fur hot water bottle from boots looks super soft!
  6. Your Favourite Christmas Movies - There are almost too many to name, but the two I probably watch the most are - Elf (Buddy completes Christmas for me) and Home Alone.
  7. An Abundance of Snug Festive Socks - Staying warm seems to be a growing theme in my festive essentials... These Red Snowflake Textured socks from Newlook look perfect!
  8. A Christmas Jumper! - I'm jumping on the bandwagon this year with this cute Penguin jumper from Yours Clothing. Penguins galore this season thanks to Monty at John Lewis!
  9. The Softest Slipper Boots You Can Find - I've lived in the pink and grey pairs of these Quilted slippers from Matalan, for weeks now, so warm, mega soft and such a bargain at £7 a pair!
  10. An Advent Calendar - Who said you had to be a child to have one?! Whether its chocolate, beauty products or just something for you to open up to feel a little more festive everyday - go for it! I've done a separate blog post on Beauty Advent Calendars so if you'd like a wee look for some inspiration, click here!

What are your Christmas holiday essentials? Would also love to know what your favourite Christmas movies are incase I've missed one! As always, feel free to pop your comments below :) xx

Fashion | Party Accessories | Yours Clothing

Two of my most favourite things to buy are bags and statement jewellery! (I'm not yet ready to confess how many bags I own...Oh the shame) I'm so impressed with the accessories from Yours Clothing this season - bang on trend, beautifully embellished and at such great prices there's nothing stopping me from buying. If you're currently scouring for your party accessories, hopefully I'll be able to offer a little inspiration with some styling ideas using accessories from Yours Clothing.

Once you've found the perfect dress, jumpsuit, -whatever you want to wear to get merry- accessories are usually next on the list. If you have a few parties, it can end up costing a small fortune over the party season buying different outfits for each outing. I've popped together bag, necklace and shoe sets, which worn with the right piece of clothing, could be interchanged for each of your parties to mix up your look! Just click on the purple headers below to take you to the product pages!

Trend tip-off - A strong trend for this winter which will flow into Spring/Summer 15' is metallic and holographic statement pieces from bags to skirts.

*Yours currently have an amazing 25% off EVERYTHING for a limited time only! No code needed*

What do you think of the Yours Clothing accessories range? What is your favourite piece from the collection? I'd love to know, so please feel free to leave comments and questions below! xx

Fashion | OOTD | + Winter Coats

Today, my sister popped round for a bit of an early festive get together! From about March onwards she focuses on Christmas - I know a tad early but I've gotten used to it over the years. We watched Elf (for the 10000th time), baked some cookies and went for a little stroll in the garden. I wanted to try out a couple of new coats I bought recently, as it's now finally chilly enough to wear them!

I bought this beautiful grey textured coat from Asos Curve a couple of weeks ago. Grey being my favourite colour- I had to buy it! I purposely went up a size so I'd be able to wear jumpers underneath, but as it has a belt with it, you can cinch it in so It doesn't look too big. I really love it, and know I'll get a lot of wear out of it as it's just light enough to wear into spring too!

I was so desperate for this next coat that I bought it 2 sizes bigger as it was all they had left in stock at the time - that's dedication! This beautiful Tweed Hybrid Coat from Matalan is the perfect smart casual piece. Super warm, high quality fabric and a close attention to detail have made this my favourite coat for this autumn winter! Admittedly it is a bit too big, but I'm a big fan of cocoon coats at the moment so it works well for me!

Leggings - Gracie legging - Boohoo
Boots - Wide fit leather boots - Asos
Lipstick - (Amplified) Ruby - Mac

* 20% Off Boohoo Plus for a limited time using discount code - Fabuplus *

Fashion | Missguided+ Launch

Exciting news came this week in the form of a plus size line launch from Missguided! Some of you may have spotted the announcement earlier in the year on their Facebook page, and now the collection has finally launched it definitely does not disappoint! With a mix of styles and shapes including, co-ords, collarless coats and oversized Tee's, it looks like a very good start to what could be an excellent plus size range. Only qualm I have is that the size range only goes from a 16-24 so some may miss out! The demand for larger sizes is certainly there, so c'mon Missguided add some more sizes!  A positive is that a lot of the plus pieces are also available in straight size, thankfully another retailer has realised that we want to wear the same as everyone else!

I've selected some of my favourites from the collection so far. Just click on the purple words below in the descriptions to take you to the Missguided product description page.

Grid crop-top - £14.99

Paris Slogan Tee - £12.99

* You can get 10% off the range by entering the code Plus10 at the checkout! (Limited time only)*

What do you think of the collection so far? Do you think Missguided should extent the size range? Also, I'd love to know your fave pieces so feel free to pop a comment below! :) xx

Beauty | Winter Blush & Lip Looks |

As much as I am a lipstick addict, I truly love a good looking blush! The packaging is just as important as the product itself in my opinion. Too Faced are a brand with extremely high quality products, whilst having thee most beautiful packaging. In the past I've found it quite hard to get hold of anything from Too Faced in the UK, that was until I found LookFantastic! They stock quite a few brands that aren't readily available in the UK - Too Faced, Lipstick Queen and Jane Iredale. to name just a few - which saves you so much time having to jump from one website to another!

Back to Too Faced! In the summer my Too Faced addiction really started to kick off. Especially when this beauty arrived! I picked up the 'Sweethearts Perfect Flush Blush' in the shade Candy Glow as I thought it looked like the perfect mix of pink and bronze whilst adding almost a highlighted sheen.

As you can see, the packaging is extremely beautiful. It reminds me of something you'd get in a french patisserie with macaroons inside! Sadly, no Macaroons inside... The formula is buildable which is perfect for summer time, as I tend to not want to wear too much on my face. The three shades work perfectly together or on their own as blush or highlighter. I paired mine with the Mac Matte lipstick in Nouvelle Rouge, a muted dusty pink which works well with just about every skin tone!

After utterly falling for Candy Glow, I decided to pick up a more wintry shade from the Sweethearts collection - Something About Berry. Infused with ligonberry, it lightens and brightens the skin whilst adding the perfect pop of magenta and a slight bronze. I tend to steer away from blush's with any shimmer, but found this formula to be light yet pigmented- cured me of my shimmer phobia! If you follow me on Instagram, you'll probably recognise this lipstick as it's my new favourite - Mac Matte lipstick in Fashion Revival.

Have you tried these? If so, what did you think? I'd also love to know your favourite cheek and lip products this season so pop a comment below and let me know :) xx

All Grey Everything

Grey, is probably considered a bit of an odd favourite colour choice, but it has been mine for years! It always looks classic and stylish whilst still adding a little colour to an outfit. I mainly gravitate towards grey and silver accessories and jewellery, especially in autumn/winter! I have selected a few of my favourite grey pieces from this season to show its not all about that winter berry shade!

I've used this studded bowler bag A LOT, as it's the ideal size for casual shopping days! Although not leather, the material feels thick and well stitched, and actually looks quite expensive. Mine was a gift so i'm not too sure where its from, however if you're feeling rather spendy, then this Alexander Wang Rocco bag currently has 40% off at TheOutnet.com. I think cheaper alternatives can be found on E-bay.

I couldn't do an 'all grey' post without adding in my new favourite knitwear piece! This wool mix stripped jumper from M&S is amazingly warm and cosy, but still stylish - which is exactly what you want from your knitwear for autumn/winter! Also saw it on Lily Pebbles in a recent vlog, I love Lily's off-duty style so if it's good enough for her, it's definitely good enough for me! Available up-to a size 24, and in the petite range too.

The top and bottom necklaces are from Zara. I adore Zara's use of glass and crystal in their accessories - it makes them look and feel so luxurious and bang on trend. You can have a look at the necklace in the bottom of the picture by clicking here. The necklace on the right is a fabulous sale find from Evans, which I was super lucky to purchase for £7 - bargain! Evans have so many beautiful pieces of jewellery this season (a lot of grey and silver - woo hoo!) so pop over and have a look

My favourite plain grey nail polish is DWS from Illamasqua, which is a light cement grey shade. The formula is buildable, and always glides on easily and neatly. If you use a top and bottom coat they wont start chipping for at least a week - which is great if you're looking for a low maintenance yet chic nail look. The second polish is a new find for me from non-toxin nail polish and beauty brand Zoya. I chose the Pixie Dust polish in Nyx which is a beautiful matte periwinkle sugar sparkled shade! I have never seen a matte sparkly nail polish, so as a huge nail product fan, I bought this as soon as i saw it! Zoya is quite a difficult brand to find in the UK, but after scouring, I eventually found the shade I wanted on Amazon. Have a look on the Zoya website for some unadulterated nail polish porn!

Let me know what you think of my favourite grey accessory choices! What are yours? Head over to and add me on instagram, I post regular outfit and beauty pictures and i'd love to see yours too! xx

Beauty | Advent Calendars| Christmas 2014

Some of you may think I'm a wee bit early to drop the C-bomb, but that's only because I am lusting after most of these beautiful beauty advent calendars! Last year many of the below brands and retailers sold out of these festive, miniature goodie packed gift sets, so this year you've got to be on your A-game to grab one in time, as they won't be around for long!

| 1. Liberty of London |

My favourite of all is definitely from Liberty of London. The front of the calender depicts the iconic store itself (amazing!) with the inside drawers printed in a stunning Liberty designed print. The fact that it has drawers instead of little windows instantly makes it more luxurious than some of the other calendar options, paired with the heavy-weight beauty brands inside! From Laura Mercier to Diptyque, Nars to Dermalogica - The Liberty beauty calendar has everything (and more) you'd expect from this luxury department store. (Released 6th Nov, £149)

| 2. Jo Malone |

I was super exited to see one of my favourite fragrance brands releasing an advent calendar this season, however, when I saw the price tag attached to it, my excitement depleted! At a hefty £250 this Jo Malone offering features 24 little luxurious from cologne to body creme, in a beautiful Georgian townhouse inspired box. I must admit I'm very tempted by it but think the price is just a little too much for a miniature set! (Available from Harrods (20th Oct) and Jo Malone stores (10th Nov), £250)

| 3. Selfridges |

The Selfridges option doesn't look too festive with its Enchanted spells design, but I do like the look of the packaging! I was a little disappointed to see how one-brand heavy it is - Out of the 24 mini's it looks like more than half are from french skincare and cosmetic brand - Lancome. It does however, have quite a few fragrance miniatures which are always super handy for your handbag, including - YSL opium and Victor & Rolf Flowerbomb. (Exclusively available at Selfridges, £85)

| 4. Benefit |

Benefit's beauty calendar sold out pretty sharpish last year, and is already sold out online! With only 8,000 made, the limited edition 'Candy-Coated Countdown' is a must-have for Benefits cult followers. Featuring 24 adorable mini's of their bestsellers, and priced at £60 it seems to be one of the most popular beauty advents this year! Your best chance of getting hold of one is to call your local store and ask if they have any stock - fingers crossed! (Available from Benefit and Debenhams stores, £60)

| 5. Ciate |

As a huge nail polish fan, I had to pop this one in! Ciate bring out a beautiful selection of 24 mini polishes every year, and this one certainly doesn't disappoint! The 'Mini Mani Manor' features texture polishes, best selling shades and some A-mazing chrismassy nail transfers! (Available at - John Lewis, Selfridges, Asos and the Ciate website)

What do you think about Beauty advent calendars? Planning on buying one this Christmas for yourself or a gift? Id love to know - pop a comment in the box below :) xx

Autumn OOTD | + Lipstick Picks

As I was popping out for a stroll today, I thought I'd show you all my outfit and makeup choice. I did wear a coat - Will make sure I pop it in a future post!

As a self proclaimed scarf hoarder (I probably own over 100), i take my scarf choice very seriously! I really like this pink and grey toned scarf from H&M, as it pairs well with just about any outfit and gives a little insurgence of colour. My dress is from JunaRose at Asos, purchased a couple of months ago and I've had so much wear of out it! It's super comfortable jersey fabric, boat neckline and exposed zip make it classic but quirky. It is still available on the Asos website and even better - Its now in the sale! Click here for a look.  Got to admit, I'm in love with this necklace. A gift from the boyfriend a few weeks ago, purchased in Zara. It's very heavy - as many of Zara's necklaces are - covered in chains and rhinestones, and at £19.99 I think its definitely a bargain! If you follow me on Insta you'll have seen a sneak peak of my new leather ankle boots from Asos. They're the perfect width, very comfortable and I love the chain detail. I think this is their first attempt at own brand wide-fit boots - I would certainly recommend them. My plain black leggings are also from Asos Curve - I must have about 10 pairs of them!

Today I rediscovered a lipstick I bought a few months ago and totally forgot about! YSL lipsticks are probably my favourite in terms of packaging - they're stunning. This is the Rouge Volupte Shine in shade 8. Its a beautiful sheeny pink with a bit of sparkle. The formula itself is long-lasting and sits nicely on the lips - ideal day-time lipstick!

I have an every-growing lipstick obsession, so when I see any new releases from my favourite brands I tend to always buy a couple to try out. Mac's recent launch of their 'Matte Lip' collection was very positively received within the beauty blogger community! The formula is spot on - perfectly matte without being drying on the lips. My picks were - Nouvelle vogue - A muted blue pink, and Fashion Revival - the most beautiful dark raspberry. I popped Fashion Revival on in the evening, let me know what you think!

I'd love to know your favourite autumn accessory and lipstick picks! Let me know in the comments box below. xx
