Beauty | Spring Pastel Pink | YSL & Too Faced

Coming into the spring months, my favourite shades are always pastels and powdery pinks, lilacs and blues. Here's a quick run-down of my go-to pretty pink make-up products, which I'm all over right now! (Had to try so hard not to devour the French Fancies!).

The YSL rouge volupte's are definitely a lipstick favourite of mine! The formula is silky soft, non-tacky and sits beautifully on the lips. Shade 8 - a Volupte shine- (far left) is a light, rosy sheen which glides onto the lips effortlessly, the perfect everyday shade. Shade 7 - Lingerie Pink (Far right) is a light creamy pink with subtle warm tones. It takes a bit of patience applying as its relatively opaque but when applied lightly to the lips and blended out, it transforms into a perfect creamy yet glossy pink.

The Too Faced Sweethearts blush collection has, without a doubt, the most beautiful packaging I've ever seen. The Blush itself is highly pigmented, highlighting and the ideal blend of colours. I did a post dedicated to these bad-boys so if you're interested to read a little more- click here.

When the YSL Babydoll Kiss & Blush was released, I was extremely excited. As a self-confused beauty and skincare geek, I take new releases very seriously, especially when its something that we haven't previously seen on the market. With a luminous matte finish, super easy application and beautiful array of colours, these are certainly up there in my favourite beauty launches of the past few years. Just dot on your lips and cheeks for a natural look, or swipe for a bit more drama! My favourite at the moment is shade 3, a very pretty pale warm toned pink.

Is powder pink a favourite of yours too? What has been your top beauty release of the past few years? As always I'd love to know your thoughts, so feel free to pop them below! I regularly post my MUOTD on Instagram and Twitter so feel free to follow, ask any questions or just say Hello! :) xx

Beauty | SS15 Coral & Peach MUOTD

Now that the festive season is over, I'm moving on from the darker lip in favour of something a little more spring-like. We saw the peachy bronzed cheek look all over the runway for SS15 collections, so I thought I'd share it ahead of when most will be rocking it!

For this look its important to have a glowing and dewy complexion, so I started off with the Mac Prep + Prime natural radiance in Radiant Yellow- this feels lovely on the skin and helps to hold your make-up on for longer! Next, I popped on Nars Sheer Glow foundation - by far my favourite foundation ever. It gives a beautiful dewy yet silky look to the skin, whilst maintaining a medium-high coverage. A natural and lightly defined brow, and light coat of mascara next. I used the Mac brow pencil in fling, and the In extreme dimension lash mascara

I lightly added a thin layer of Chanel Les Beiges Healthy Glow powder. We still want a dewy look, but as I have some oily areas, the powder will help to keep these at bay whilst still giving a glow to the skin. This powder smells amazing - be prepared to get addicted! It also has an SPF of 15 which is brilliant coming into the sunnier (fingers crossed!) months. From the Nars Virtual Domination palette I used the Miss Liberty blush which is a beautiful highlighting peachy coral, and a light dusting of Laguna bronzer around my forehead and jawline. As we're going for a really glowy look here, I added a little of my favourite of favourite highlighters which is the Laura Mercier Sheer Creme Colour in Pearl Glow (Previously golden pink). A tiny bit goes a very long way! It gives a light highlighted sheen which is exactly what you want with this laid-back make-up look.

Now to my favourite part- Lips! I used the Mac cremesheen Coral bliss lipstick and gloss for a peachy nude lip. If you have another lipstick you want to add into this look make sure its a cremesheen or lustre texture coral, as mattes don't tend to work with this specific mix. The gloss finished the look off perfectly by adding another dimension to the face, giving me a natural, dewy day look which would also be perfect for holiday (if you're off on holiday anytime soon I'm very jealous!).

What do you think of this look? Are you ready for the brighter spring colour palette? I'd love to know! As always feel free to pop your comments below. I post what I'm upto everyday on Twitter and Insta so feel free to follow me and ask any questions! xx
