Beauty | Review | Tanworx from LookFantastic |

I try to embrace being a tad pale during winter, but as we come into the spring following onto summer months, I lust after a tan! It's also a little doubtful that I'll be heading anywhere super hot this summer due to being on medication that means I've got to stay out of the sun ( :(  Nooooo!) so it definitely cheered me up when I received a package from the lovely ladies at LookFantastic

I received the Tanworx Glow and Hydrate skin essentials kit, made up of an instant glow wash off tan, hydrating body lotion and application mitt. I quite like the packaging, it isn't like any other tanning product packaging I've seen before, and is much easier to use with a pump than a squeezy bottle. The formula, containing Hyaluronic Acid (being used everywhere right now to help prevent signs of ageing) and coconut oil which is perfect for a tanning product as it means the application is smoother, more natural and long lasting in comparison to others without it.

So... this is how I started (some people rock the pale and interesting look, I really don't!).

I do have a little bit of swelling around my knees and ankles due to having PSA, but other than that this is my natural colour (near enough the colour of the moon). Firstly, I rubbed in some of the hydrating body lotion with my hands. I found it ultra moisturising, made my skin feel smooth and it instantly made my legs look more hydrated. It gave me a perfect canvas for applying the tan itself!

Then, I added tan to one leg to show you the comparison in colour.

Using the mitt to apply was easy, not at all messy and left me with a streak-free even coverage. One huge bonus of Tanworx is the smell of the products- it's definitely much more pleasant than others I've used which could be down to the coconut oil. I cannot believe how pale my leg looks in this picture... just wow.

I love the bronzey/brown shade Tanworx gives you- it's extremely natural looking and not at all orange toned (not a look I want to achieve!).  It very easily washed off in the shower, so if you're looking for a quick, easy and fuss free tan for a night or day out, this is the one for you!

The Tanworx Glow and Hydrate skin essentials set is usually £38, but you can snap it up from LookFantastic for £22.97 (with free delivery) for a limited time only. Happy tanning!

Do you use tanning products? Have any you would recommend? As always, I'd love to hear your thoughts so feel free to comment below, even if it's to make me extremely jealous about where you're off to on holiday! xx

I started blogging last October and feel very lucky to have so much support from readers here, followers on Instagram and twitter and brands themselves. The positive feedback has been very overwhelming, so thank-you very much. If you have a minute, I would truly appreciate if you could nominate me for the 'Best New Blog' category in the British Plus Size Awards

Beauty | Nars Matte Lip Pencil - Cruella

I'm obsessed with lip products. Happy to admit that to you. At the moment it's specifically matte lipsticks and liquid lipsticks... please tell me I'm not alone on this one?! I bought the Nars Matte lip pencil in Cruella a couple of months ago (no idea why I didn't buy it sooner as it's life changing), but only recently got addicted to using it. This 'Cult Classic' shade is a deep scarlet red with a formula filled with Vitamin E, leaving you with a sharp velvet matte lip.

The jumbo crayon itself makes application relatively easy, but i'd definitely suggest lightly lining your lips before applying, as the crayon doesn't have a heavily pointed tip so can get a little messy. With one swipe, your lips are instantly coated with highly pigmented colour, in a velvet matte finish. Some have said they find the formula drying, which is something I didn't find at all. I'd recommend exfoliating and moisturising your lips before applying, just to avoid any obvious dry patches.

I always think with a statement lip, it looks more striking with a nude eye, and light blush. I paired it with Nars Sheer Glow Foundation, Nars Creamy Radiant Concealer, Mac Brow Pencil in Fling,  Too Faced Amazing Face Powder, Benefit Majorette blush, and Mac In Extreme Dimension Mascara.

There are so many beautiful colours in the range! Dragon Girl is next on my list! I'd love to know if you're a fellow matte lip addict, or if there's anything i'm missing out on, so as always feel free to let me know below! xx

Fashion | NineX Lingerie & Nightwear

As a huge lingerie fan, I was very excited when the lovely ladies at new plus-size lingerie and nightwear brand - NineX, got in touch with me to try out one of their new pieces. I actually discovered NineX a few weeks previously on Twitter, and on browsing their website I was astonished by how well priced all of their garments are, and how extensive the range itself is, so I can guarantee there will be something for everyone! Sizing ranges from a UK 8-24, however some of the fabrics are stretchy, so if you're not within that size range I'd definitely still buy and try. In my opinion, there aren't enough lingerie brands like NineX offering plus size, fashionable lingerie at reasonable prices, especially for us UK based.

I tested out the Black chemise with see through lace panelling, which arrived very quickly, and is an absolute steal at £16.99 considering how high quality it feels. The on site images show the model bra-less, but I decided to not be half naked today and team it with a Gossard black satin set to match the chemise itself. The see-through mesh paneling is a sexy added touch to this all over satin-like chemise, with a mesh bust (very comfortable for larger busted ladies) shoulders and top back panel. The longer front hemline and two tones to the dress definitely make it look more flattering and elongating.

In terms of sizing, I chose a 4x, and felt I still had some room to move around. It was extremely comfortable to wear, not at all restrictive - as some negligee's can be - and the perfect length (I'm 5"7) just skimming nicely over my hips.

I absolutely love the mesh paneled back as it just made it even more comfortable due to it being a stretchy panel. I reckon this could easily be worn as nightwear or a lingerie piece, great on the versatility front.

All in all, I more than recommend NineX lingerie. The service, delivery and product itself was seamless from start to finish. Plus, at those prices - it's a no brainer! Woohoo for a brand finally providing us with affordable, stylish and practical lingerie! If you fancy having a look, head over to the NineX website to browse their options and colour ways. This specific style comes in - black, red, blue and purple.

Have you purchased from NineX yet or considering a purchase? What do you think of this specific style? Do you agree that we need more choice in the plus lingerie market? As always, I'd love to know your thoughts so feel free to comment below!
